For all you cat lovers out there - you've just got to love this.  A cat scratcher and lounger in one.  And it helps save your furniture to boot!  What's more, if your adorably picky feline doesn't fancy his new toy, given its gorgeous curvaceous form and tactile covering this could easily double up as a small stool or foot rest.  You can order them from Pet Fusion in the states, but I'm sure there must also be a UK seller somewhere (I briefly saw them on fab.com)...  Go on, indulge your feline friend. You know you want to.

Lego storage. Genius.

I love this brand extension from Lego.  Not only do they make fabulous toys, but now they make fabulous storage to put them in.  In their own inimitable style of course.

This time from Carocim.  Beautiful, decorative and mellow they bring a touch of class to any floor.  Note too the current trend for combining a tiled finish with the warmth of wood.

Out there interiors - quirky furniture for the home

Jumping on the current trend for upcycling, I think this site is great.  I stumbled across them from notonthehighstreet.com but their main site www.outthereinteriors.com and they have a vast selection of furniture that is of the moment and not available in mainstream stores. From retro to industrial, upcycled to nordic their range is great for finding unusual, affordable  finishing touches for a room.

Flooring to take notice of

Zazous.co.uk do a beautiful range of both authentic encaustic cement tiles and vinyl flooring - both reminiscent of lazy mediterranean sejours.  The former are the pricier choice at c. £170/sq metre, with the vinyl selection coming in at a fraction of the price at £19.99/sq metre.  Neither selection is vast, but they certainly make for eye catching flooring solutions.
